Dr. Jeevan Kumar, Project Officer (Human Induced Disasters), is responsible for developing strategies for creating awareness about Human Induced Disasters. He is also responsible to carry out sensitization programme for various stakeholders and conducting policy studies in the area of Human Induced Disasters.  He has done Ph.D.  from Veer Bahadur Singh Poorvanchal University, Jaunpur and  M.Sc. Degree in Environmental Sciences from DR. R.M.L. Avadh University, Faizabad, and B.Sc. from Allahabad University. He has worked with organisations like Centre for Environment Education (CEE), North, Lucknow, Bihar Inter Agency Group (BIAG), Patna, Nav Jagriti, Khagaria and Department of Environment and, Water Management, A.N. College, Patna. 



Ms. Sumbul Afroz, Senior Technical Assistant (IT)

Ms. Sumbul Afroz, maintains & re-creates BSDMA website. Well versed in Software development and handles software related issues of Authority. Participated in various training programes of Disaster Management. Also served as Software developer in IT Company. Deep acumen in developing Desktop applications, web based applications and Portals. Ms. Sumbul is a Postgraduate in Computer Application (BCA MCA), five year intregated course from IGNOU. She also holds Certificate in Asp. net from NIIT.

 

Shri Manoj Kumar, Technical Assistant (IT)

Shri Manoj Kumar is responsible for providing support to information Technology and other communication system which is backbone of BSDMA. He is well-versed with the Information Technology infrastructure, network configuration, data storage & database maintenance and BSDMA website content management. Previously worked with IT majors and has a rich work experience in System Administration. An ITIL V3 certified professional and has excelled in IT infrastructure and Service Management. A graduate in IT from IGNOU, New Delhi, he also holds post-graduation degree in IT from Sikkim Manipal University.



Dr Anil Kumar , Sr.Advisor(Climate &Environment), is an Civil Engineer, Environmental Expert, Climate Changethinker, a Top Level Administrator and Leader, Technical Education Expert onGood Governance, Quality, Accreditation, Future Skills and Innovation, anInstitutional Builder, a Social Activist and a Humanist.

He did his Ph. D. inEnvironment ,Master of Engineering (IIT Roorkee),M. Sc. in Disaster Mitigation,Masterof Ecology & Environment.,Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Gold Medalist).

Dileep Kumar, Sr Advisor(HRD, Training & CapacityBuilding)

 

  • He possesses more than 20 years of training, teaching and technical experience in the field of disaster management and climate change.Worked as Assistant Professor and Head of Disaster Management Centre of SKIPA-ATI,  Govt of Jharkhand, Ranchi (2007-14) under the national program of MHA-NIDM, New Delhi for training and capacity building of Civil Servants /Govt Officers/Engineers/Doctors /PRI functionaries / Line Dept Officials etc. Also worked as City Program Coordinator for UNDP under Urban Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (DRR-CCA) project in Ranchi and  provided technical inputs for State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC), worked as DPO, Patna(2003-2005)for UNDP Disaster Risk Management program.
  • Post-graduate both in Natural Science (ANC, Patna) and Biotech (MSU, Baroda) with specialization in ecology and environment.  Fellow of UGC/CSIR-JRF (Life Sciences) & ICAR NET Fellow for Biotechnology (Agriculture Sciences) & an advance Course from IIT, Roorkee. Worked as Faculty for Environmental Science and Disaster Management for Central University of Jharkhand & Birsa Agriculture University, Ranchi
  • Successfully attended/completed several training programs/courses on different thematic areas of disaster management and climate change organized by NIDM, NDMA, UNDP. UNFPA, UNICEF, World Bank, IIPA etc. Worked as National Consultant of UNDP for DRR-CCA in Shimla, HP.  Also a certified Master Trainer of DoPT, GoI for DoT, DTS & MoT & NIRD, Hyderabad.
  • Also conducted more than 120 training programs of 5-day duration under DoPT norms with NIDM, New Delhi on different thematic areas of disaster management. Delivered lectures as Resource Person in various trainings/workshops/conferences also in a series of webinars on Child Centric Disaster Risk Reduction (CCDRR).  Formulated State Disaster Management Plan of Jharkhand, City DMP of Ranchi apart from technical support for 24 DDMPs. Worked actively for Tsunami Response Program (TRP 2006-7)for Care India, Port Blair

 

  • Several publications and many papers accepted for presentation in various conferences both in India and abroad (Germany & South Korea) on Disaster Management and Climate Change Issues. 
  • Currently engaged in collaboration and providing technical support for projects with IIT, NIT and initiatives for HRD on disaster management in the Universities/Colleges of Bihar for developing skilled manpower. Collaboration with SDMAs/Knowledge Partners and representing BSDMA in various state/national fora.


Shri Ashok Kumar Sharma, Senior Advisor (HumanInduced Disaster) is responsible for organizing training & capacitybuilding program on disaster risk reduction and management for JEEViKA Didi’s, PanchayatiRaj Institutes (PRIs), Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Teachers and Students underthe Mukhya Mantri School Safety Programme (MSSP) as workshop/seminar on variousareas of disaster management. He holds a Master degree in Geo-Informatics fromSikkim University and Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management from IGNOU. Earlier,he worked as a District Disaster Management Officer in Ranchi (UNDP & Govt.of Jharkhand), Consultant in National Institute of Disaster Management, Ministryof Home Affairs, Govt. of India and Technical Assistant in Disaster ManagementCell, Sikkim. He has more than 20 years of progressive professional experiencein Disaster Risk Reduction, Remote Sensing & GIS sector. He has publishedmany research papers in others related to disaster management.
